What cookies are
Cookies are small files a browser stores when you visit a website. Other technologies, such as localStorage, retain preferences on your device. Article 22.2 LSSI and AEPD guidance require information and, unless a legal exemption applies, prior consent.
What this website uses
Clau Home’s own code stores only the language you expressly choose under the clau-lang key. This first-party technical preference is exempt from consent. The site code adds no advertising or analytics. However, inspection of the published website found additional hosting resources, listed in the table; these must not be confused with technical language storage.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | First / third party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| clau-lang | Technical localStorage | Remember the user-selected language; exempt from consent. | Until the user clears site data. | First party |
| session-id (~flock.js) | Hosting analytics cookie | Identify the session and measure visits. Not exempt; requires disabling or prior consent. | 30 minutes; renewed by activity. | Hosting; served on the site’s domain |
| __dpl | Hosting cookie | Deployment resource; exact purpose awaiting confirmation. Exemption is not assumed. | 24 hours observed during inspection. | Hosting; served on the site’s domain |
| /__l5e/events.*.js | Hosting event script | Technical event collection; no cookies or persistent storage observed. | In memory during the visit. | Hosting provider |
| Google Fonts — Jost | External stylesheet and fonts; not a cookie | Load typography; Google receives technical connection data. | Browser/server-dependent cache; no cookie observed. |
Hosting analytics
The published ~flock.js script generates the session-id cookie and sends page visits to the hosting measurement service without a consent option on the website. This is not treated as an exempt technical cookie. Visitor analytics must be disabled in publishing settings to maintain a technical-only website, or prior consent must be implemented before using it. This policy does not replace consent.
Fonts and technical resources
Jost loads from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This sends technical connection data, including your IP address, to Google; no Google Fonts cookies were observed in the inspection. Hosting also adds a technical-events script and the __dpl cookie; its exact purpose must be confirmed with the provider and exemption is not assumed.
Deleting or disabling storage
You can delete cookies and site data, including local storage, or block them in your browser settings. Deleting clau-lang removes your saved preference and the language will be detected again. Blocking resources may affect operation or typography. See the official browser help pages:
Future changes
If analytics or advertising cookies are added, prior consent will be requested through a banner offering accept, reject and configure options, and this information will be updated. No banner has been added in this version; non-exempt hosting measurement must be disabled to maintain that arrangement.
